Shumei Natural Agriculture hands-on workshop
One day (21st April 2018, 10:30am – 2:30pm)
This hands-on workshop is a part of 2018 Shumei Natural Agriculture learning programme, which consists of 3 sessions of one-day workshop in spring and summer. This is aimed at farmers/growers and students who wish to try growing food naturally without applying any chemicals, fertilizers and animal manures. On this April session, you will look at the importance of soil; role of composts; basic idea of seed savings. The course consists of lecture/presentation, farm tour and fieldwork. We will provide vegan lunch.
By the end of this course you should be able to…
- Describe the key concepts of Shumei Natural Agriculture
- Understand the role of soil and composts/catch crops
- Understand the importance of seed saving in Natural Agriculture
- Recognise how people’s thoughts would affect plants

More detailed concept of seed saving, characteristic of the vegetables grown by Natural Agriculture
